The Thomas Hitting Academy is an indoor/outdoor, climate controlled facility.
The astroturf indoor area will include two batting cages furnished with
automatic baseball/softball pitching machines. It will also include portable
pitching mounds for pitching instruction. One cage will have a state-of-the-art
pitching tool called the "K-Zone" that works as a virtual catcher. It records
accuracy and velocity of each pitch. Pitching leagues will be formed for
competition.

The
outdoor area of the complex includes a youth baseball field that has a 15'
Green Wall in Leftfield, 12' Green Wall in Center, 4' in Right. The field will be used for
instructions in base running, fielding, and miscellaneous drills. The field is
also used for Tournaments as well as Deep East Texas Baseball League games
every Saturday. Also, In the "Fast Signs" training area there is a covered outdoor batting cage
for instruction, 46' bullpen for pitching, 3-4 hitting stations for drills.
