My name is Phillip Thomas.

I am a 39 year old native East Texan.  I graduated from Hooks High School in 1987 with Baseball Awards on a Class AAA state runner-up team. 

Dallas Baptist University was the college of choice to continue my baseball career.  Our team went to three NAIA College World Series appearances in four years.  I was blessed with great teammates and great coaches to help me win numerous awards and achievements while at DBU including being named to the All-World Series team as a shortstop.  I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

I signed a free agent contract with the Florida Marlins Professional Baseball Organization in 1993.  Returning to Dallas in 1995, I began working with kids and teams in 1995 at an Indoor Baseball Facility in Ft. Worth.

I have lived in Longview, Texas since 1997.  I have been doing private hitting and fielding lessons for the past 13 years.  I have had over 1000 kids come through for private lessons over the years.  I also do summer camps in Longview with over 350 kids attending each year.

I am on the Board of the Deep East Texas Baseball Association that includes over 130 teams from East Texas and Louisiana.

I have a wife of 14 years, Susan, and three kids, Trevor 13, Bryton 11 and Kensington 8.
